ANNUAL SPORTS CELEBRATION ON 11-08-09

The Annual Sports Day of the Vidyalaya was celebrated with pomp and gaiety in the Vidyalaya play ground on Wednesday 12th August 2009.

Mr. Sushil Thakur, Chairman VMC & Senior General Manager, O.F., Ambajhari was the Chief Guest. Ms. Grace C. D., Principal, K. V., O. F. Ambajhari handed over the sports torch to the chief guest and the chief guest handed over the sports torch to sports captain Vijay Kumar who lit the sports flame. The welcome address was given by the Principal. All the four houses Shivaji, Tagore, Ashoka and Raman displayed the march past followed by events like musical chair, sack race, relay race and cultural programme. Tagore house was the champion house.

The Physical Education Teacher, Mr.R.P.Shambharkar, presented the annual sports report, highlighting the achievements  by K. V. Ambajhari in the sports arena.

 The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the winners of the various events and also honoured the houses who stood first, second and third.

The annual sports closed with the flag lowering ceremony. The Chief Guest  lowered the flag and handed it over to the Principal, for the next year’s Annual Sports.

Dr.(Mrs.)Sarla Mudaliar, PGT(Hindi) and Mr. D. J. Gajbhiye, played a pivotal role in compering the programme. Mrs.S.Ghotekar, Vice-Principal, proposed the Vote of Thanks. The programme  concluded with sweets distribution to all the students.
