Principal I. R. BArsagade From the Principal's Desk All of us wish to be
successful in our efforts at study or at work. To be successful we need
certain requirements. The first requirement
is to have a dream. Once we have a dream, we start finding ways to
realise it. The destination should be decided right at the beginning of the
journey. Setting goals helps us to focus our dreams. The journey of a
thousand miles begins with the first single step. "The world knows
well that whoever takes the first step will take many more". So
make the beginning. Take one step at a time. Each day take up a task and
complete it. Obstacles expected and unexpected may
crop up in your path. One of them is distractions. Be selfish enough to say
"No" to unwanted disruptions- all those unnecessary telephone
calls, computer games and the time spent passively watching TV programmes. Priorities must be defined and
time must be judiciously managed. Chart out a daily, weekly and yearly plan
and do not allow an exception. There is
no substitute for hard work. Striving with persistence and the burning
desire to succeed help to attain goals because success is proportionate
to the efforts put in. Some of us may not succeed all the
time. Failure should not deter people from trying again and again.
Calvin Coolidge says, "The slogan press on has solved and
will always solve the problems of the human beings". So it
is ultimately the choice each one of us makes that decides the question
- to be or not to be. William
Earnest Henley was right when he said, "I am the master of my fate, I
am the captain of my soul". Indeed it is within each one of us to
make the journey of life successful and memorable. With best wishes for another rewarding
year. God bless. I.R. BARSAGADE PRINCIPAL
