PODDARESHWAR RAM MANDIR:

PODDARESHWAR RAM MANDIR, a very big, well managed & famous
Hindu Religious Temple of god RAM and SHIVA, situated in Central
India i.e. at Nagpur City, is today described as the proud of Nagpur
City. This temple was constructed in the year 1923 by Late Shri Jamnadhar Poddar, related to
the famous Poddar Family of Bisau (Rajasthan) in India. People from
all over India are coming to visit this temple. It is so said that
any person who visits this temple, definitely gets the peace of
mind. |
DIKSHABHOOMI:

In the heart of the city lies a huge
ground with structure of stupa built on it. This Diksha
Bhoomi
is the
religious place for the Buddhists and neo- Buddhists . This is
the site
in Nagpur where
Dr. B.R.
Ambedkar
converted to Buddhism with five lakhs of his followers on Vijaya
Dashami day, October 14, 1956. Since the Mauryan emperor
Ashoka is believed to have converted formally to the Way of the
Buddha on this day, Ambedkarite Buddhists observe it as
Ashoka
Vijaya Dashami.

RAMKRISHNA MATH:

Nagpur is the geographical center of India - the
Zero Milestone.
From this vantage point, the Ramakrishna Math Nagpur has ceaselessly
worked out its mission of Atmano
Mokshartham Jagaddhitay Cha - The good of the self and
the good of all - for over 75 years.
Since its establishment in a small hut in 1928, the Ashrama has been
silently serving the Society in various ways without any distinction
of caste, creed, religion, etc. The Ashrama, which was started by
the divine will of Swami Shivananda (Sri
Mahapurush Maharaj) has attained to its present state by the
grace of God and patronage of the generous public.

Zero Mile Stone is said to be the
exact middle point or center of India. This important place is
decorated by beautiful statues of horses. Because of this Nagpur
City has got importance of being in the
'Heart of the Country'.
